My Background
I'm originally from New Jersey, but recently decided to move down south for the warmer weather and beaches. I grew up in a pretty traditional Chinese household where my parents integrated herbs into their cooking, our medicine cabinet was full of herbal ointments, and we even had a favorite go-to Chinese medicine practitioner in New York City.
My Approach
I grew up in an integrated holistic lifestyle, which definitely helped to shape my views on today's healthcare. I understand that there is more than one way to address pain as opposed to having to rely solely on painkillers or a surgical procedure. I am all for the integration of western and Chinese medicine, and believe that acupuncture and herbal therapy is extremely effective in relieving side effects of cancer care treatments, and can even help aid and increase the efficacy of fertility treatments.
